Jeanne Lane A long time hobby gone serious! Jeanne has been a yoga student since her college days (1974-1979). Becoming particularly dedicated to her own practice in 1995 she has grown to prefer the Iyengar method and fitness flow / vinyasa styles of yoga. Jeanne is certified for fitness level water aerobics through the Aquatics Exercise Association and is also certified for yoga instruction through the American Aerobic Association International / International Sports Medicine Association. She has taught private classes and at local health facilities since 1982, always incorporating yoga into her workouts. Yoga instruction became her main focus in 1998 when she came to truly appreciate the total health benefits of her own daily practice. Seeing the need to improve her yoga teaching skills, better understand proper alignment in the poses and provide instruction for the use of supportive props, Jeanne became a student of the Iyengar style of yoga in 2000. Since this time she has been a dedicated Iyengar student and has participated in numerous workshops with noted names in the Iyengar tradition including George Purvis, Dean Lerner, Laurie Blakeney and Jan Campbell. Jeanne is currently teaching beginners classes (level 1) at KYC.
